⇒⇒ Embedded questions
Em inglês, há duas formas de se fazer uma pergunta:
1. Invertendo a ordem do verbo ''to be'', ou seja, o verbo vai antes do sujeito.
Are you a student?
How old are you?
What time is it?
What is your mother mother's name?
2. Usando as ''embedded questions'' >> pergunta no meio de uma frase afirmativa. Não usa inversão nem auxiliar
Interrogativa
Do you know how old they are?
Do you know what Peter does for a living?
Do you know what time it is?
A pergunta, nesses exemplos acima, é ‘’Do you know’’, por isso a segunda parte da frase não pode ser outra pergunta.
→→ Afirmativa
I have to find out where she is.
I want to know what you are thinking about.
→→ Negativa
I don't know where she went last night.
