No Simple Past, estamos nos referindo ao Passado Simples, ou seja, ações que já foram concluídas.

Nesse tempo verbal acrescentamos os sufixos: -ed, -ied, -d, de acordo com as regras abaixo:

• -d: verbos terminados em "e";
• -ied: verbo terminado em consoante + "y", trocamos o "y";
• -ed: verbo terminado em vogal + "y";

Obs: nesse tempo verbal temos os verbos irregulares, onde não se aplicam essas regras citadas acima. Cada verbo irregular tem o seu próprio passado simples.

O exercício pede para completar as frases utilizando o Past Simple. Utilizamos was para I, he, she, it   e usamos were para we, you, they.

• neg: You were not at school.
• int: Were you at school?

b)  you in the bathroom when your aunt called you?

d) You and I  tired after job.

• aff: You and I  were tired after job.
• neg: You and I were not tired after job.
• int: Were you and I  tired after job?

e) He  angry with what he saw on TV.

• aff: He  was angry with what he saw on TV.
• neg: He  was not angry with what he saw on TV.
• int: Was he  angry with what he saw on TV?
