Resposta:

1 - Was, were, was, were, was, were

2 - went, swam, studied, wrote, broke, got, began, bought, played, helped, closed, did

3 - She didn't go to the market

    They didn't read a book

    He didn't get up late

    Peter didn't study English

4 - Did my father work in a company ?

    Were they happy yesterday?

Did Susan write a letter ?

Did Mary buy a car ?

Did Paul do the homework ?

Explicação:

1 - Was/were equivalem respectivamente a forma is/are, porém, conjugados  no simple past.

Was - I, he, she, it

Were - we, they, you

2 - Verbos terminados em "e", adiciona-se "d" no final:

     Exemplo: like = liked

Regra do CVC (Consoante + vogal + consoante), nesse caso duplica-se

a última consoante e adiciona-se "ed" no final:

     Exemplo: stop = stopped

Verbos terminados em "y" precedidos de consoante perdem o "y"

     e recebem "ied" no final:

     Exemplo: study = studied

Verbos terminados em "y" precedidos de vogal recebem "ed" no final

     sem perda do "y":

     Exemplo: play = played

Verbos irregulares NÃO POSSUEM PADRÃO de conjugação:

Exemplo: get = got, write = wrote, fly = flew.

3 - A forma negativa do simple past possui a seguinte estrutura:

sujeito + did not + verbo no simple present + complemento

4 - A forma interrogativa é parecida, mas cuidado, tem sentido totalmente

   diferente, interrogativo = pergunta:

   Did + sujeito + verbo no simple present + complemento + ?
