First Conditional: na parte da frase que contém o "if" (if-clause) e expressa a possibilidade de algo acontecer, o verbo deve estar no simple present e, nesse caso, deve ser conjugado se estiver na terceira pessoa (he, she, it); na parte da frase sem o "if" (main clause) e que expressa a consequência existente caso esse algo aconteça, utiliza-se o auxiliar do futuro "will" + o verbo na forma básica, sem o "to".

A frase no First Conditional apresenta as seguintes estruturas:

• If + Simple Present + Future (will+verb)

• Future (will+verb) + If + Simple Present

Exemplos:

If you study now, you will pass the exam. (Se você estudar agora, você passará no exame.)

He will buy a new car if he wins the lottery. (Ele comprará um carro novo se ganhar na loteria.)
