Present Perfect Continuous

É um tempo verbal da língua inglesa que indica ações que tiveram início no passado e perduram até o presente.

Para utilizar corretamente o Present Perfect Continuous devemos adicionar:

  • o verbo TO HAVE no Simple Past (Has/Have)
  • o verbo TO BE no Present Perfect (BEEN)
  • o verbo principal com a terminação ING.

Para 1ª e 3ª pessoa do singular (I e HE/SHE/IT), utiliza-se HAS, enquanto para as demais (YOU, WE, THEY), utiliza-se o HAVE.

Na forma negativa o NOT aparece depois do verbo TO HAVE, e pode aparecer na forma contracta (Hasn't / Haven't).
