Estrutura gramatical
As frases em inglês, assim como na língua portuguesa, possuem uma estrutura padrão.
Existem distintos tipos de palavras, elas podem ser:
- substantivos (nouns)
- pronomes (pronouns)
- verbos (verbs)
- preposições(prepositions)
- adjetivos (adjetctives)
- advérbios(adverbs)
As palavras também são classificadas de acordo com sua função na frase:
- Sujeito
- verbo
- complemento
A estrutura básica é: Sujeito + verbo + complementos
Forma interrogativa
Para formar a forma interrogativa o procedimento padrão é mover o verbo para o início da frase e adicionar o ponto de interrogação ao final.
Forma negativa
Para formar a forma negativa o procedimento padrão é adicionar o NOT após o verbo (nas respostas o not está unido com o verbo na forma contracta [n't])
