John states that in shooting competitions, hitting a target diagonally is harder than hitting a target that is ahead because the angle of view of the target diagonally is smaller. The figure below (out of scale) simulates a situation in a shooting competition, where Peter is at point P 25m away from the target ahead, each target is 0.5m in diameter and is 4.75m from each other

With the notation of the figure, show that the angle of view of the target diagonally is smaller than the angle of view of the target in front, i.e. γ <2θ. To do so, use the preceding items, the concept of tangent in the right triangle, the fact that it is a growing function, and a calculator for basic sum, multiplication, and split accounts.
