"Laura is going to spend the weekend in New

York. Her best friend, Jessie, lives there. They are

making plans about it. Laura lives in Trenton. It is

52 miles away from NY, so she is going to travel

by car. It is more economical and quicker.

As the traffic in NY is very heavy, they are going

to get around by MTA. It is a public benefit

corporation responsible for public transportation

in the U.S. state of New York. On Friday evening,

when she arrives there, they are going to attend

a Broadway show called The Phantom of The

Opera. Afterwards, they are going to a restaurant

to have dinner.

On Saturday morning, they want to go to Central

Park to walk Jessie’s dog and meet some other

friends. Then, they are going to have brunch at a

nearby place called Tavern on The Green. Jessie

In the afternoon, they are going to MOMA, the

Museum of Modern Art. The large six-story

museum is home to many rotating exhibits and

permanent art collections. As it is a big museum,

they planned their visit in advance. Jessie’s mom

said that first-time visitors should start on the fifth

floor with the Painting and Sculpture Galleries

and that’s what they’re going to do. They are

going to have some hours to explore the museum

because it closes at 8 p.m. After that, they are

going home to rest for the following day.

They are looking forward to meeting because

they haven’t seen each other for months! It is

going to be a great weekend for sure!"
